Rabbit Accomodations
Rabbits are very social animals, I'd always recommend putting your rabbit with another rabbit friend. Both rabbits should be spayed or neutered and you should bond them. My rabbits prefer to have their own space, sometimes just having a neighbor is comforting enough. Before even getting a rabbit or rabbits, you must know they are not throw away pets, cheap pets, nor do they not require vet bills. They can be quite pricy sometimes, you should take them to a experienced vet at least once a year, and they can live for up to 12-15 years, they are a commitment.
To the left you can see where my bunnies live. Lola and Ollie both have solid bottom cages/hutches attached to free range pens full of toys and chews. Rabbits should always have a pen or more space than just a hutch. They should be in a shed or sheltered building away from wind, rain, and snow. You can purchase heated water bottles, to keep rabbits warm insulate your hutch with straw or get your bunny a Snugglesafe heating pad. Also in my bunny's pens I also have included rugs to prevent sore hocks and #1 thing I'd recommend is litter traning your rabbit. There are many videos on Youtube showing how to litter train a rabbit. Use a safe wood pellet or safe shavings that aren't going to harm your rabbit.
The outer pen area also has a cardboard box for the bunnies to chew, dig, and go through for fun. It is important you offer enrichment to your rabbits, try changing toys or the setup once and a while. If you have a bedding cage, change it once a week well also spot cleaning. It is important you spend lots of time with your bunnies as they deserve your love and attention!
